Spain: Agreement between MedVida and Vida-Caixa to acquire a life insurance portfolio from SA Nostra Vida

Cuatrecasas advises MedVida Partners de Seguros y Reaseguros, S.A. on the agreement with Vida-Caixa, S.A. de Seguros y Reaseguros to acquire a life insurance portfolio in run-off of SA Nostra Compañía de Seguros de Vida, S.A.

Once the transaction is completed, subject to obtaining the appropriate regulatory authorizations, MedVida will manage the over 30,000 policies of the acquired portfolio, and it will receive €170 million in technical provisions and €10 million in premiums per year.

With this transaction, MedVida continues with its plans for acquisition, integration and optimization of the life insurance business, already managing assets for nearly €4,000 million.
