Arnold & Porter successfully Refers MinterEllison US$1.5bn Lithium Project

In a successful referral from Arnold & Porter, MinterEllison have worked with Albermarle to signed acquisition agreements with Mineral Resources to acquire a 50% interest in the Wodgina lithium project for US$1.5 billion.

The deal involves a sale agreement, JVA, 3 x services agreements for MinRes and 2 marketing agreements and a refinery plant technology licence for Albemarle. Effectively a full acquisition and project, and done within an almost impossible time frame.

Albemarle is are pleased with the outcome and were impressed by the way the MinterEllison team pulled together, while continuing to service the Kemerton Lithium Hydroxide project in parallel.
