Former International Exchange Program Participant Refers Joint Venture Matter

Drinker Biddle & Reath is assisting one of Bae Kim & Lee’s largest clients, a Korean electronics company, in connection with a joint venture in the United States between it and a large Chinese manufacturing company. The joint venture will provide logistics and transportation services in the United States to support their respective businesses, as well as other companies. The project involves significant regulatory issues in connection with customs and trade, import/export, and transportation, and we are also providing assistance with corporate governance matters related to the joint venture itself. What is particularly relevant in this referral is that it came from Alan Lee, who participated in the International Exchange Program (IEP) two years ago and spent one month in Chicago with Drinker Biddle & Reath.
