Latin American Firms Collaborate in Acquisition of Mexican Company

Published on Aug 18, 2020

Santamarina y Steta (“S+S”) has acted as Mexican legal counsel in several transactions for a U.S. based company engaged in market research services for a specialized sector of the beauty industry (the “Client”). Under the most recent transaction, the Client would acquire control of a Mexican company rendering market research services in Argentina, Brazil, Chile and Peru.

S+S received the swift and professional support of Bruchou, Fernandez Madero & Lombardi Abogados; TozziniFreire Advogados; Urenda Rencoret Orrego y Dörr; and Payet, Rey, Cauvi, Pérez Abogados, respectively, in the analysis of regulatory and contractual economic competition matters. All such firms provided timely, thorough and clear advice.

Since determining the need to consult with lawyers in other jurisdictions, the Client trusted in having S+S working and coordinating with WLG member firms in the relevant jurisdictions for the transaction, and by the end, felt very satisfied with the advice provided by the World Law Group network.

Notwithstanding that the closing of this transaction has been delayed due to the current global COVID-19 situation, this collaboration shows how effective and beneficial our network is, both to members and clients.
