Member Firms Team Up on Hotel Development Project

Daewoo Amara Co., Ltd., a joint venture company established by Korean investors, and a Myanmar investor, have entered into agreements to develop, construct and operate a hotel complex near Inya Lake in Yangon, Myanmar on a build-operate-transfer basis. This project is believed to be Myanmar's largest hotel complex project.

South Korean member firm Bae, Kim & Lee (BKL)has advised Daewoo Amara Co., Ltd. on a multitude of aspects, some of which include legal concerns regarding development, construction, hotel operation, funding, and regulatory issues. Moreover, BKL has also successfully drafted and negotiated a hotel management agreement for this hotel development project.
