United States: Miller & Martin Attorneys John David Lind and Haley Moody Promoted to Member
Miller & Martin PLLC is pleased to announce the election and promotion of attorneys John David Lind and Haley Moody to membership in the law firm effective January 2024.

Mr. Lind is a corporate attorney in the firm's Atlanta office focused on representing lower-middle market, closely held companies and national private equity firms in buy-side and sell-side M&A transactions in various industries. A majority of those deals are strategic add-on transactions for private-equity-owned portfolio companies throughout the United States. He also advises on other general deal and non-deal related corporate matters, entity formation and governance, corporate reorganizations, and other general business matters.
Mr. Lind holds a J.D., along with an LL.M. in Business Transactions, an LL.M. in Taxation, and a B.S. in Finance with a concentration in Investment Management, all from the University of Alabama. Before joining Miller & Martin in 2018, Mr. Lind practiced in the corporate department of an international law firm.
Ms. Moody, who joined Miller & Martin in 2016, is a commercial litigation attorney in the firm's Chattanooga office representing large and small companies, as well as individuals, in federal and state courts. She guides clients through complex business disputes, involving breach of contract claims, negligence, misrepresentation, and fraud. She also defends clients involved in product liability and personal injury litigation, including serving as national coordinating counsel for a consumer healthcare products company defending hundreds of ongoing product liability cases nationwide. She has experience in a variety of industries, ranging from life sciences and manufacturing to construction and insurance.
Ms. Moody is licensed to practice in Tennessee, and she has been recognized in The Best Lawyers in America: Ones to Watch in the areas of Commercial Litigation; Mass Tort Litigation/Class Actions Defense; Product Liability Litigation Defense. She earned her J.D. from Tulane University Law School. She graduated summa cum laude with a B.A. in History from the University of Alabama, where she was a Presidential Scholar and competed as a varsity NCAA Division I Cross Country and Track & Field athlete.
Ms. Moody is a member of the American Inns of Court with the Justices Ray L. Brock Jr. and Robert E. Cooper Chapter, the Chattanooga Bar Association, and the Tennessee Bar Association, as well as the Defense Research Institute. Her community involvement includes memberships with the Associated General Contractors of East Tennessee and the Chattanooga Women’s Leadership Institute.
