AZB & Partners is representing Premji Invest - the global investment arm of Mr Azim Premji, in its proposed investment in Akasa Air, India’s fastest growing airline. Along with Premji Invest, Akasa has also secured funding from Claypond Capital - the investment office of Dr. Ranjan Pai and funds managed by 360 ONE Asset. Independently, the Jhunjhunwala family has also committed to an additional capital infusion into Akasa Air. Our deal team comprises our Senior Partner Divya Mundra, Partner Devika Nayak, Associates Darshan Rampuria and Pragya Dixit. They were supported by our Senior Partner Anand Shah, Partner Sarah Rufus and Senior Associate Rishiraj Baruah on the aviation law aspects, and by our Partner Kirthi Srinivas, Senior Associate Varun Thakur, Associates Shivangi Pradhan and Ojaswi Bhagat on the anti-trust aspects.
