Briefly describe your practice.

As a corporate/M&A partner of an international law firm, I advise clients from the industrial and automotive sectors, on international M&A transactions, carve-outs, joint ventures, and corporate matters. Amongst my clients are several international players and groups. Advising clients from the automotive sector is as exciting as it ever was before. Given the changes and transformations the sector is going through, I am regularly confronted with new challenges and new situations in which they can benefit from my sector expertise and experience. I also regularly advise clients on real estate share deals.

Attending semi-annual summits is a key part of your role as a Key Contact Partner. With WLG | summit Buenos Aires '24 on the horizon, how do you plan to maximize the value of this event for your firm?

The key to every WLG | summit is to learn about the legal system, challenges, and opportunities in other jurisdictions and to get to know other cultures. In addition, one big aspect of every summit is to connect and build a network. This helped me to advise on international projects and to refer clients and colleagues to other delegates. Therefore, my key goal for the WLG summit in Buenos Aires is to build new and strengthen existing relationships.

You co-authored your firm's chapter of the WLG Doing Business In Guide. In your opinion, what is the largest benefit to consider for those looking to do business in Germany?

Germany has several attractive industries/sectors and, therefore, offers great opportunities for doing business. Germany’s political environment is stable. Its legal system is transparent. In addition, Germany has a robust infrastructure and a highly skilled and well-educated work force. Germany’s location in the heart of Europe serves as a strategic position to expand business in Europe.

What is something you have watched, read, or listened to lately that you would recommend, and why?

It isn't something I can recommend as it is in the past, but  I watched and was impressed by the Olympics. Due to the pandemic, I may have forgotten the special atmosphere surrounding the Olympic Games. I was reminded of it this summer. Seeing people from all over the world coming together, being elite in what they are doing, practicing their sport, and connecting was impressive.
