Hunton Andrews Kurth Names Myles F. Reynolds Office Managing Partner for Dallas and Austin
Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP is pleased to announce that Myles F. Reynolds, partner and chair of the firm’s national energy regulatory practice, has been named managing partner of the firm’s Dallas and Austin offices.
Reynolds is a nationally recognized energy regulatory attorney who focuses his practice on the representation of, and associated counseling for, electric utilities, natural gas utilities, and midstream companies, as well as other energy companies regulated by state and federal government agencies. He regularly represents clients in proceedings before the Public Utility Commission of Texas (PUCT), the Railroad Commission of Texas (RRC), the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), and other state regulatory commissions across the country.
"Myles is an exceptional attorney, whose thoughtful and strategic leadership over the past several years has helped build the firm’s leading energy regulatory practice in Texas,” said Hunton Andrews Kurth managing partner Sam Danon. "His commitment to client service, dedication to his colleagues and loyalty to the firm make him the ideal person to lead our Dallas and Austin offices.”
Reynolds originally joined Hunton Andrews Kurth as an associate in 2002 when the firm merged with Worsham Forsythe Wooldridge and spent the next six and a half years with the firm. Following a brief period as in-house counsel for a midstream company and several years with another AmLaw 100 firm, Reynolds rejoined Hunton Andrews Kurth as a partner in 2018.
He succeeds Jarrett Hale, who served as the firm’s Dallas and Austin office managing partner for seven years. Hale will remain with the firm, where he currently serves as co-chair of Hunton Andrews Kurth’s financial services litigation and compliance practice group.
"We owe a debt of gratitude to Jarrett, whose faithful stewardship and service to the firm have contributed tremendously to our flourishing Texas presence,” Danon added.
"I am incredibly honored to have the opportunity to serve my friends and colleagues and lead our local teams in Dallas and Austin,” said Reynolds. "I look forward to contributing to the success of our Texas strategy and building upon the momentum of Jarrett’s leadership.”
Hunton Andrews Kurth’s Dallas office serves a diverse group of local, regional and international companies from the community banking, private equity, finance, real estate, transportation, energy, manufacturing and health care sectors.
The firm’s Austin office provides a broad range of legal advice to clients in the areas of administrative law, appellate law, corporate and securities, energy, environmental law, financial services, intellectual property and technology, securities, and public finance. The firm’s Austin lawyers also represent public and private clients before the Texas Legislature and various state regulatory bodies.
