1. Tell us a little bit about your practice.
I am a member of the international corporate transactions team and head the Far East Asia Desk at CMS Austria, where I am mainly involved with cross-border transactions involving European and Asian clients. Our international corporate transactions team has a strong presence in Austria, Central East Europe and Southeast Europe and it has been consistently ranked as the most active M&A practice in Europe and is ranked in the top tiers for mid-market M&A.
2. As a new Key Contact Partner for CMS Reich-Rohrwig Hainz, in what jurisdictions and/or practice/industry areas do you see the potential for a new collaboration with WLG members?
While this is not a specific practice or industry area, I think that there is potential for further discussion and collaboration on legal tools which law firms use to make their practice more efficient. There are several legal tools or software available in the market and it would be worth discussing which tools work, which do not, and why. The ability to leverage a strong law firm network which believes in harnessing technology to provide clients with swift and superior legal advice is an added advantage and selling point to clients.
3. What is something you enjoy doing in your spare time?
I enjoy gardening tropical plants, photography and going for long walks.
4. Have you had any recent client, marketing or other collaboration with a WLG member firm(s)?
One of my most memorable collaborations was having to put together a pitch across multiple jurisdictions about two weeks before Christmas. My colleagues and I made use of the WLG network and the member firms were extremely helpful and responsive – we managed to put together the pitch despite the tight deadline. More recently, I had the chance to work with Bae, Kim & Lee on a project.
