Briefly describe your practice.
As a corporate lawyer, I advise financial and strategic investors and fast-growing companies on international M&A, private equity, and venture capital transactions. My combination of corporate and financing expertise is also useful when supporting investors and start-ups in venture debt financings. As a mentor for tech and sustainability start-ups participating in our start-up accelerator CMS equIP, I am the main point of contact and sparring partner for founders on all legal challenges they might face when building up their companies.
What topics related to your practice do you look forward to discussing?
My practice is very international, so I mainly look forward to discussing the current market conditions and challenges our clients are facing, including how we can jointly help them navigate through those times. I also think we can help bring together potential investors with promising targets since all of us have a great network which we can also use to the benefit of our clients.
You were recently selected as a Key Contact Partner for your firm. Can you tell us what you hope to gain through WLG participation?
WLG is a great platform for meeting lawyers from around the globe, expanding your network, and exploring ways for collaboration and joint business development activities – I am deeply convinced that there is a lot of existing potential in the network which just needs to be unlocked. By being a KCP and getting to know delegates in person at the WLG meetings, it is possible to establish long-lasting and reliable business relationships and to serve as a "door opener" for collaboration between CMS Germany and other member firms.
Will you attend WLG | summit Buenos Aires '24? If so, which session from the business program is piquing your interest?
I am definitely planning to attend the WLG summit in Buenos Aires and look in particular forward to discussing the geopolitical forces shaping global business together with the other panelists on Thursday. I am also curious to explore opportunities and trends in the TMT and energy sectors.
What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
I am an active person, so I love spending time outside in the mountains with friends and family. Living in Munich allows me to do this even on the weekends. I regularly go skiing in winter, hiking, and recently mountain biking in summer. In addition, I am a "wine and dine" person, so if the weather is not suitable for outdoor activities, I like meeting friends over a nice glass of wine. During my holidays, I love traveling, particularly in Asia, and learning more about other cultures.
