Panelist for June 16 HR Law Webinar

1. Tell us about your practice and an interesting matter you've worked on.

I am a corporate and litigation partner in our Firm. My major practice areas include investment, employment, immigration, anti-bribery, anti-corruption, IP and corporate and criminal litigations. All cases that I have handled have had their own unique characteristics, and I always learned from the issues involved in the cases. Handling employment related matters would be one of the most interesting transactions since we also deal with the employees who have different values, beliefs, character, and attitudes, in particular when we have to do some work related to negotiating employment agreements, collective labor agreement, or termination of employment.

2. You're a member of WLG's HR Law Group and panelist on an upcoming webinar. What are you most looking forward to getting out of this group and this webinar?
I am most looking forward to learning from the lawyers from other jurisdictions, particularly on how they deal with the current COVID-19 pandemic. The work-from-home model is entirely new for our Firm, so it would be an excellent opportunity to learn from other leaders who are also facing and managing this extraordinary situation. It is quite a challenge to establish rapport remotely with our colleagues, and to ensure communication lines are always open and active. Further, it is also interesting to hear WLG members share the preparations they are making to resume operations at the workplace, such as setting up health protocols at the office, and ensuring that all employees understand and comply with these protocols.

3. Where do you look forward to traveling to when the pandemic has passed and why?
I love to connect with nature as I travel. I am dreaming of visiting Norway to enjoy seeing the aurora borealis there. Alternatively, New Zealand or Japan are countries that I look most forward to traveling to, as New Zealand offers many beautiful landscapes and Japan is the best country during the autumn to adore the colorful flowers and trees.
