1. Describe your practice.

I am the Co-Chair of the Mergers and Acquisitions Group at Goodmans. I regularly counsel management, boards of directors and special committees in transformative M&A transactions and complex corporate governance matters, as well as lead a broad range of mergers and acquisitions, private equity and corporate finance transactions for Canadian and global clients.

2. You were recently selected to be a new Key Contact Partner for your firm. Tell us what you hope to gain from WLG participation.

I hope to build relationships with WLG lawyers from across the globe and have the opportunity to collaborate on interesting and challenging files together. In addition, I look forward to showcasing the diverse talent at Goodmans that can assist our WLG partners in serving their clients across a spectrum of specialties and industries.

3. Tell us about recent collaborations you've had with other WLG member firms.

For 12 years I have had a close relationship with a team from what is now Faegre Drinker in respect of collaboration on a mutual client who is dually listed on stock exchanges in Canada and the U.S.

I recently reached out to Sołtysiński Kawecki & Szlęzak on behalf of a client with an issue on wills and estates in Poland. They responded very promptly and were happy to assist.

4. Tell us a recent book, podcast, or show you would recommend.

I recently stepped out of my comfort zone of dramas and cheesy chick flicks and got hooked on Netflix’s Formula 1: Drive to Survive. I had no prior interest in or exposure to F1 or car racing in general, but I got hooked and binged all 5 seasons. There certainly is enough drama there to keep this girl entertained!
