1. Describe your practice.

The primary portion of my practice is assisting developers and contractors in contract negotiations for construction projects, as well as litigating/arbitrating cases arising out of construction and real estate disputes.

2. You recently became a Co-chair of the Real Estate Group. Tell us what you hope to accomplish through that group.

I hope to encourage more engagement and relationship-building amongst our members while providing thought-provoking topics for discussion at our meetings.

3. You have a podcast. Can you tell us about it and what impact it has had on your practice?

The podcast Building Leaders Radio Hour focuses on leaders in the development and construction community with a sprinkling of interviews from those outside the industry. We cover stories about their successes (and failures). I want to know what it takes to be a great leader, what makes these folks successful, and find takeaways to make my practice more successful. I also like to hear stories from people who produce amazing ideas – like bringing the Olympics to Atlanta. How does one accomplish something so significant? To find out, we interviewed one of the members of the Atlanta Olympic Committee.

It has been very helpful for introductions to people who have listened to Building Leaders Radio Hour– so what would have been a cold introduction, turns immediately into a warm introduction. They already feel like they know me. They find the podcast entertaining and educational, which is all I can ask for.

4. What is another podcast you listen to that you would recommend to others and why?

I love the New York Times The Daily podcast. It is a great way to start the day. It only takes about 20 minutes and you get significant daily news stories without any annoying commentary. I also like Squawk Pod – by CNBC -- for my business news of the day.
