1. Briefly describe your trade practice.
I am a member of the international trade team at Faegre Drinker. My practice involves representing importers in enforcement actions by U.S. Customs and Border Protection, advising clients on U.S. and international customs laws and regulations, and assisting clients in managing trade compliance and minimizing duty impact.

2. What is one relationship you've made through World Law Group's International Trade Law Group that has been important to your practice?
Several relationships come to mind, but our partnership with Taylor Wessing has been excellent. We have relied on one another to support clients both in the U.S. and EU, and I had the chance to travel to Ireland with partner Michael Brüggemann to assess a client’s U.S. and EU trade compliance risk.

3. When the pandemic is behind us, where is the first place you'd like to travel?
Traveling has always been an important part of my practice, but the travel I miss the most is with family. Once the pandemic is over, I cannot wait to travel to Mexico to visit extended family I have not seen in several years.

4. Have you had any recent client, marketing or other collaboration with a WLG member firm? If so, please briefly tell us about that.
Just this week we received a client referral from colleagues at CMS Russia for a company looking to launch a U.S. operation. The project involves assisting the client with all of the corporate formalities needed to implement their cutting-edge business plan. CMS Russia, through partner Hayk Safaryan, has always provided our clients strong counsel in Russia, and we have committed to do the same for them in the U.S.
