TozziniFreire Advogados Celebrates 48 Years of Operations in the Market and Revitalizes Plans to Consolidate its Leadership

TozziniFreire Advogados celebrates 48 years of excellence and prominence in September, being one of the leaders in legal services in Latin America. With its full-service operation across the country and covering all areas of Business Law, it has a significant track record in assisting national and international companies from various sectors.

The firm concluded the first half of 2024 with notable rankings in several lists compiled by Transactional Track Record (TTR) focused on the Venture Capital and Capital Markets sectors. The reported operations together represent a 189% increase in market value compared to the same period last year.

Continuing this legacy, TozziniFreire has been working on consolidating its leadership as one of the largest full-service firms in the country.

Prominence in Promising Areas and Regions in Brazil

At the beginning of the year, the promotions of three associates to partners were announced: Stephanie Consonni, Carlos Renato Vieira, and Danilo Lambert. This move continues the firm’s growth plans and strengthens its operations in the areas of Intellectual Property, Cybersecurity & Data Privacy, Taxation, Agribusiness, ESG, and Environmental Law.

In the second half of the year, partners Luiz Filipe Aranha were hired for the Corporate/M&A and Private Equity & Venture Capital practices, and Lígia Schlittler for the Infrastructure, Energy, Corporate, and M&A practices, bolstering the firm’s business strategy.

Another highlight was the launch of the Gaming & E-sports sector group, which provides companies operating in the gambling/betting industry, both online and offline, with unique multidisciplinary assistance, bringing together extensive expertise in comprehensive issues related to the sector.

International Prominence

As part of the expansion of its already established global presence, two new initiatives have been launched: the Italian Desk and the Portuguese Desk, which join a group of five other international desks at TozziniFreire (China, Germany, Japan, Korea, and Latin America).

Established through intense collaboration with the European community, the new desks combine full-service local operations with the global cultural knowledge of their partners Giovanni Falcetta, who has lived in Italy several times, and João Ribeiro da Costa, who is originally from Portugal.

Prominence in Technology and Innovation

With six years of existence of the firm's innovation program, ThinkFuture, TozziniFreire reaffirms its strategic position as an innovative law firm through concrete results. More than 270 visual law projects have already been delivered, along with over 30 contributions related to data analysis, business intelligence, and dashboards. Our team has also published more than 70 articles in the market.

We would also like to highlight the launch of TF/AILA, the generative AI tool developed and customized at TozziniFreire, utilizing OpenAI's GPT technology.

Prominence in Diversity, Inclusion, and Pro Bono

We are the first law firm in Brazil to have a dedicated area focused on guiding companies on Human Rights, with a team composed of 83% women, 66% people of African descent, and 33% LGBTQI+ individuals (including one transgender person). The firm also maintains a balance between men and women in its Executive Committee, and its legal and administrative departments are predominantly female, comprising 63% and 67%, respectively.

Our pro bono initiatives focus on generating positive systemic impacts or multiplying them. Examples include our outreach initiatives: (1) in the Heliópolis community, aimed at providing legal guidance to residents on a wide range of topics; (2) targeted support for transgender individuals seeking name and gender changes on legal documents, including covering costs related to the process; and (3) guidance for individuals working in the office's administrative and outsourced areas regarding their rights, helping them resolve legal issues.

Prominence in Producing Quality Legal Content

Focusing on promoting our services, engaging with clients and the market, sharing knowledge, and strengthening our brand, TozziniFreire launched its own studio this year, equipped with the latest technology for recording short videos, podcasts, and professional-standard videocasts.

The firm has increased its efficiency by offering more personalized and high-quality content to clients while also contributing to the discussion of a more modern and efficient legal system.

Since the last anniversary of TozziniFreire, we have published 367 pieces of content across our external communication channels. As a result, we have seen a 102% increase in website traffic, a 50% growth in unique visitors, and over 10% growth in followers on our social media platforms, with high engagement. On our YouTube channel, we achieved a 661% increase in views, totaling 6,232 accesses, and a 505% increase in watch time.
