Published on Oct 16, 2024

Formosa Transnational (FT) established its ESG Research Group in 2020.  Since then, the ESG Group has actively explored and advanced issues related to CSR, ESG, and the SDGs within monthly meetings, including: ESG governance in enterprises, due diligence on human rights and other ESG issues, sustainability agreements and antitrust, green washing and its legal risks, carbon credits and regulations, and so on.

In celebration of FT’s 50th anniversary in 2024, FT published the book "ESG and Modern Legal Practice” to showcase its achievements in ESG with insights from leading legal practitioners.

FT also hosts a series of ESG-focused seminars, with an emphasis on achieving net zero emissions in building operations.  Furthermore, FT supports pro bonoinitiatives by sponsoring activities for Taiwan’s indigenous peoples and the Global Citizen Parent-Child Concert.

As part of its CSR commitment, FT has prioritized sustainability in the workplace. Since 2021, the firm has adopted plastic-free food containers and tableware.  We also continue to enhance our waste classification and recycling efforts.
