WLG | impact '24: Pellerano Nadal Supports Multiple Organizations
This year, as part of the WLG | impact '24, the firm decided to continue its yearly support to Fundación La Merced and Tapitas x Quimio.
Fundación La Merced is a non-profit organization with the mission of preventing and reducing the labor and exploitation of children and adolescents by offering them a comprehensive education inspired by the values of the Mercedarian Congregation, while also supporting their families and communities so they can live with dignity and contribute to a free, just, and united society. With the aim of reaching the most vulnerable population in Santo Domingo Oeste, they created the ERA community center, which started as a humble homework room supporting 35 children. Over time, with the support of numerous people and organizations, they acquired land and expanded both the physical infrastructure and intervention programs to offer more and better services to the community. Since 2020, ERA has been operating in a space of over 4,000 square meters and this year, the firm continued its support by contributing to the Arbol de la Esperanza campaign in an effort to expand their School of Arts.
In terms of the Tapitas x Quimio campaign, the firm continues to be one of the main collection centers in the country, receiving thousands of plastic bottle caps per year, which are then sold to recycling companies. The proceeds of the sales of the bottle caps are then donated to Fundación de Amigos Contra el Cancer Infantil, to pay for chemotherapy treatments for children in the Dominican Republic.
