WLG | impact '24: Vaish Associates Advocates Organized a Community Health, Nutrition Awareness Camp & Education

This year, Vaish Associates Advocates continued with its commitment to provide holistic development to the children and to raise awareness in the community on health and nutrition, in two slums in the outskirts of New Delhi.

The Attorneys at Vaish Associates visited the centers on many occasions to participate in festival celebrations and other events.

50 children in the age group of 2.5 to 5+ years are part of the program and regularly attend the center every month. They are prepared for formal schooling through play way method.  Tutorial help was provided to 200 children in the age group 6 to 12 years, to supplement their formal school education.

The nutrition intake of the children was supplemented with a hot cooked mid-day meal and a nutritious snack in the evening.  Regular health check-up was conducted by doctor and the children were given age-appropriate multivitamins and medicines based on need.

Dental and eye check-up camps were also organized this year. Awareness sessions on health and other topics were held and films were shown on gender equality, importance of education, etc.30 pregnant and lactating women were given a pack of nutritious food items every month to supplement their diet. The community women were taken for picnics and outstation trips.
