What advice would you give to a young female associate looking to make partner/advance her career?

Work hard, be insightful, act with integrity, and have a business-oriented mind. Strive to create good professional relationships by truly knowing your clients and providing tailored advice. You may sometimes feel that there are too many cloudy days and no clear skies in sight - make sure you don't lose track of who you are and where you want to get.

How do you balance your career and personal life?

I think it's only natural that we put more focus on what we want the most at that particular point in time. This may mean that the perfect balance is not always possible to achieve - at least not all the time. The way I see it, you will shift your focus to where you need it (and where it has) to be in an imperfect balance. And even though it may be overwhelming, you will realize there is a lot you can manage both professionally and personally without having to choose one over the other- this is what I came to realize as both a partner in a law firm and a new mom.

How has your legal education and experience served you in other aspects of your life that bring you joy?

As a lawyer in the Compliance & Investigation area, I like to think I play a part in shaping the society we live in by assisting companies to become the best corporate citizens they can be - either by fostering best practices or working on remedial actions when things don't go as planned.
