Why did you decide to become a lawyer?
I decided to become a lawyer when I was very young. What greatly influenced me was that my father was a Senior Counsel, and the conversations at the dinner table were fascinating and captured my imagination.
What advice would you give to a young female associate looking to make partner/advance her career?
A young female associate looking to make partner should demonstrate her complete domain on the subject, her willingness to be thoughtful and purposive, and her ability to lead the team and show IQ plus EQ.
How does gender diversity within a law firm benefit its culture, as well as its ability to service clients?
Gender diversity within a law firm is indispensable. It brings out a better sense of debate, the right amount of balance of IQ and EQ, and collegiality without unnecessary jostling.
Do you have any networking advice for women lawyers?
Women lawyers should actively network. It is an important facet of their development as joining the dots and scaling, as a result, is important.
