Briefly describe your practice.
As the Head of our Government & Privatization Practice, I have had the privilege to work on some of the most high-profile and challenging projects in Greece. My focus spans advising both the government and private sector on complex M&A and privatization initiatives, including the recent challenge of designing and implementing the restructuring of the Greek Railways as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Hellenic Railways Association. Beyond this, I have developed a seasoned practice in the niche area of aviation law and aircraft transactions, representing almost all foreign aircraft leasing companies when transacting in Greece. Over the years, I have also been recognized as one of the leading global experts in franchising, having shaped the national framework by drafting the Greek Code of Ethics on Franchising.
Our firm, tracing its origins to 1988, thrives on cultivating strong client relationships, and I am particularly proud of the collaborative culture we have built. As one of the founders of the firm, I remain committed to ensuring that we continue to excel in delivering tailored legal services, supporting business development, and driving cross-border collaborations that align with the goals of our clients and WLG.

What makes Greece a standout destination for international professionals looking to build connections and grow their business in EMEA?
A decade ago, Greece was associated with economic struggle. Today, it stands as one of Europe's most exciting success stories. The economy is thriving, foreign investments are pouring in, and sectors like energy, hospitality, shipping, and technology are flourishing. Greece isn't just a place to do business—it's a place where progress and tradition come together in a unique way to create unmatched opportunities.
Walking through the bustling streets of Athens or sailing among the hundreds of Greek islands, it's impossible to miss the progress, development, and gleaming infrastructure that has reached every corner of Greece, blending seamlessly with her timeless charm. From startups gaining global recognition to large-scale renewable energy projects, Greece has been recognized as an attractive destination for business, acting as the gateway connecting Europe, Asia, and Africa.

As a long-standing and passionate network member, what is the largest benefit that WLG has brought to your practice?
One could say a lot about the business opportunities and collaborations that WLG has facilitated. And there have been plenty. But what truly makes this membership special is the people and the chance to connect with like-minded professionals who share the same commitment to excellence, innovation, and growth. I feel that the relationships that we have built as a firm over the past years have gone beyond simple professional connections; they've become trusted partnerships.
WLG is more than a professional network. Learning from peers across different jurisdictions, sharing experiences, and staying ahead of trends in the ever-changing legal landscape has been a real privilege. It's a network that inspires you to grow while giving you the tools and relationships to do so. For me, that's the greatest benefit – a community of firms and individuals who are as invested in your success as they are in their own.
What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
Enjoying what Greece has to offer with family, friends, and colleagues! There's nothing quite like hiking in the mountains, soaking in the breathtaking views, or setting sail across the Aegean, feeling the wind and salt spray as the sea stretches endlessly around you. I love spending evenings with loved ones, sharing fresh seafood at a small taverna by the sea, or walking through the cobbled streets of a Greek village, discovering its hidden corners filled with history.
When I'm not at home in Greece, I love traveling the world. Exploring new places, meeting and connecting with new people, and experiencing different cultures always fill me with fresh energy and inspiration.
