WLG colleague:

From the client side, I would like to highlight several trade cases on which I worked with Drinker Biddle & Reath’s international trade team, including export controls, customs, and trade remedies. In the cases where the client was Brazilian, the good relationship between the local firm and the US was crucial for retaining us.

Based on this relationship, Kathleen Murphy of DBR, invited me, in 2015, to be the co-chair of the International Trade Law Group she was planning to create, and we have been working together since 2016, and now our new co-chair Michael Bruggemann (Taylor Wessing, Dusseldorf office) joined us.

In 2008, I was introduced to PLMJ for a four-month secondment in Lisbon. My experience added a lot to our practice involving Brazilian investments in Europe and in Africa; that solidified a relationship between TozziniFreire and PLMJ.



Recent interesting news:

The building where TozziniFreire is located in São Paulo has been undergoing a complete renovation since February. All WLG colleagues are invited to come visit our new home!

My favorite vacation spot is Futaleufu, in Chilean Patagonia.
