WongPartnership LLP announces a new appointment in its management team. Chou Sean Yu, the Firm’s Head of Litigation & Dispute Resolution has been appointed Deputy Managing Partner. He will concurrently continue as Head of the Firm's Litigation & Dispute Resolution Group.

Appointed Head of the Firm's Litigation & Dispute Resolution Group in 2020 as part of the Firm’s succession strategy, Sean Yu has overseen the growth of the Firm's over 160-strong Litigation & Dispute Resolution Group since. Under Sean Yu's leadership and guidance, WongPartnership's Litigation & Dispute Resolution team has continued on its trajectory as a leading litigation firm in Singapore with an International Arbitration Practice that is recognised today amongst the top teams globally.

Sean Yu is a Fellow of the Insolvency Practitioners Association of Singapore and is on the Panel of Arbitrators of various arbitral institutions. He is also a Chartered Arbitrator of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and past Chairman of the Board of its Singapore Branch. Sean Yu has been named for Banking – Regulatory in Who's Who Legal Banking and for International Arbitration in Who's Who Legal Arbitration. Listed as an outstanding lawyer in 2022 Thomson Reuters' Standout Lawyers, an independent global research survey, Sean Yu has also been recognised as a dispute resolution star in Benchmark Litigation Asia Pacific 2021 and by Best Lawyers for his expertise across various areas, most recently in arbitration and mediation, insolvency and reorganisation law as well as litigation in 2022.
