MinterEllisonRuddWatts Reduces Carbon Emissions for WLG | impact '23
MinterEllisonRuddWatts (New Zealand) is committed to reducing their carbon footprint. They used the month of June to highlight different initiatives everyone can do to help reduce their carbon emissions.
Initiatives include a vegetarian week for all staff meals provided by the firm, discounting public transport, and implementing more reusable takeaway containers and cup options for staff. This month they have also changed their suppliers to foster a circular economy with toilet paper, paper towels, and bin liners, removing 2.9 tons of waste from landfills each year.
Continuing their commitment to carbon reduction, they have recently been certified by Toitū (NZ’s external environmental certification regime), having been independently verified as measuring and managing their operational greenhouse gas emissions—including business travel, electricity, vehicles, and offices—in line with international standard for carbon footprints ISO 14064-1.
