Trade

Lawyers in the Trade Group serve as trusted partners for clients navigating the increasingly complex web of international trade law and regulations. They provide experienced regulatory, compliance, and policy counsel to clients ranging from large multi-nationals with global operations to small businesses that seek to expand internationally.

The group's members bring in-depth knowledge and experience to a variety of challenges most often encountered by companies involved in cross-border trade, including import compliance, export controls, economic sanctions, trade remedies, international trade policies, anti-dumping, national security, and other barriers to entry. They also have experience in resolving WTO disputes, contract disputes, and other litigation matters related to trade.

Due to the extraterritorial reach of international trade laws, members of the Trade Group have formed strong working relationships with their WLG peers around the world to better serve their clients. They meet regularly via virtual meetings and in person at international and regional conferences to exchange updates on related legal developments and collaborate on comparative law guides and other informational resources.
